Disfellowshipped & Returning
by tartan4588 ini am disfellowshipped and have been going back for well over a year now but because its not my 1st time it will be a bit longer before i will write my letter, would really love to find others in my area who are in the same situation as some many know its very isolating, not mixing with worldly people and not being allowed to be with family and friends can take its toll on a person, just wondering if there is anyone in perth wa that would like to get together for a coffee, movie ect .

by Drearyweather inhttps://jw-russia.org/en/news/19021923-622.html.
at least seven of jehovah’s witnesses were subjected to torture—electric shocks, suffocation, and cruel beatings—on the first floor of the russian investigative committee’s building at ul.

Wow, so the "Great Tribulation" has begun, even if only in Russia, but just as the WTB&TS foretold in the mid-twentieth century. Let us REJOICE with the True Servants of The Governing Body and their sock-puppet Universal Sovereign, Yah-ho-way-wa!
But seriously folks... these people (the Russian JWs) are solely responsible for the treatment they are getting. They have made a choice to set themselves against a harsh totalitarian government; they should have known what was "in the cards" for them. They got what they bargained for.
If a person does STUPID things, there will be BAD CONSEQUENCES.
Jesus wept.

Should I do this?
by CivilServant79 inhi there this is my first post as i’m not sure what to do.
my family (both sides) are well known in our circuit and very dedicated to the truth.
but we’re relatively normal people and i love them all so much.

You asked, "...should I say I just genuinely don’t believe in a god?"
No! Avoid the subject! If you can't avoid the subject, LIE! There is no sin in doing so, because - as you have already concluded - there is NO ONE to sin against!
"Do as thou wilt is the law..."

Welcome!
As Incognigo Montoya said, "You have the right to remain silent."
Once you open your mouth you betray yourself.
Here's some crazy advice. You are young and you CAN do this, but it won't be easy. How tough are you?
You need to put geographical distance between yourself and your family and circle of former friends; you need to split!
That's what I did in the mid-late-1970s. I took a job on the opposite side of the country. It made fading SO MUCH easier, because no one in my new area knew - or cared - who I was. But maybe you think you don't have a job prospect. But you might...
You could move across the country to an area that you like that has a large military base and you can enlist in the military! If you're really smart you can try to get into a high-tech military field, if you are good with tools you can get into a maintenance job, if none of those turn you on you can become a cook.
The military will provide you with food, housing, clothing, education, exercise, etc, etc, etc. You just have to have an adult attitude about fulfilling your commitment.
People sometimes jump when I suggest this. They think they are going to have to become Rambo or a Dark Operator in a jungle somewhere. Some guys will, but YOU don't have to, unless you WANT to! You could see about getting into the Space Force. After your service you will have continuing benefits...
Give it a thought... you can DISAPPEAR and live happily ever after!

Bible Students Question

ptt7000 mentioned, "...Bible Students but they are strictly bible..."
Except for when they ain't, right? Like accepting CTR's impression that the pyramids at Giza were the FIRST bible and that the dimensions of the great pyramid was the basis for selecting 1914 as a "significant" year.
I will agree that the Bible Students seem to do a better job following the Bible's suggestions about how a Christian congregation should be organized and run. The pre-Rutherford Russellites used to have a similar structure, but after angels whispered new instructions to Joe Rutherford, that changed. In a totalitarian organization, you CANNOT let the flock select their shepherds, can you?
ptt7000 added, "I find they don't believe in evil speaking or gossiping about each other."
Too bad, really. If they had some stones back in the day they would have thrown JFR out on his ear and history would have been changed, but those limp-wrists didn't want to resist the Holy Spirit that was putting the adulterous drunk at the top of the church, just under Jesus. SO spiritual! So humble! So weak! Are they weak today? Who knows? They won't "evil speak."

How will anyone know when the "Great Tribulation" begins?
by foolsparadise inwill there be an announcment on the world news saying " a great tribulation has begun in the world" or will the gb send a letter to all the kh's to scare the piss out of everybody saying "we the gb being gods chosen channel of communication have decided that the world's situation seems dire and are pleased to tell you that the great tribulation has started!".
obviously the world has been in a great tribulation since the time of jesus.
great tribulation does not mean some event that has to happen all at once all of a sudden.

slipnslidemaster said, "I have a great tribulation in my pants."
YES! We need to bring back "in my pants" as a rebuttal technique!
Sincerely,
In my pants!

Is Russia "right" about presecuting Jehovah's Witnesses?
by iliketreasure injehovah's witnesses are presecuted in russia.
on par with the is and other terroristic groups.
it happened when the anti-extremism laws were extended to non-violent groups.. i don't believe that russia actually cares for the well-being of their citizens with this move and probably merely a law to stop other political forces (and the jws are one in a way, since their gather authority over large groups of people and also have their own political and judicial institutiona), but are they right about it anyway?.

Corney asked, "Nathan Natas, I guess you justify the Holocaust in the same (sick) way, don't you?"
Yeah, your powers of discernment are stunning! You'll be contributing LOADS of valuable content here, I can tell.
"Fire up the ovens! JWs comin' in!"

Active JW's - Does None of This Bother You?
by The Fall Guy inthanks to atlantis and his sources, we are able to examine material from the alleged "faithful slave" which is intended only for the eyes of the shepherds wolves in the congregation.. information needed for visit of circuit overseer .
all congregation accounts records covering the period since the last visit, which would include any bankbook being used and the records for any additional accounts being kept by the congregation.
(do you have excess money which should have been given to us?).
